Inverclyde Dog Training Club are delighted to be
associated with the Greenock Telegraph to promote
responsible Dog & other Pet ownership in our Community.
We now sponsor the regular Pet Column in the Telegraph.
What better way to assist the valuable work provided by
the Telegraph, Inverclyde Animal Rescue and Inverclyde Cat Rescue than by offering the featured dogs when rehomed a
new start with a free dog training course lasting six weeks
and a 2kg bag of Luaths Chicken & Brown Rice (Value in
excess of £27). The featured cats will receive 2 free 500g
bags of Burns Real food for Cats ( Valued at £5.66).
Simply consider carefully your circumstances on whether
you can care responsibly for any of the pets featured and if so
contact the relevant organisation who will assess your application
to rehome the featured pets using their strict criteria and if you
are successful in rehoming the featured pets they will provide your details to us and we will contact you to arrange your sponsorship.

Myra our Principal Trainer is a fully approved Instructor
in Puppy, Bronze, Silver & Gold levels with the ADTB,
The Academy of Dog Training & Behaviour. Click on the
link below for membership confirmation and code of
practice. To attain membership Myra had to undertake
the six courses offered by the Academy involving study
over a two year period and acheive a pass-mark on coursework submitted. Furthermore she had to undertake
regular practical class assessments to prove her capability in
competently controlling and training classes of dog owners
to the very high standard demanded by the organisation.
Myra has since been accepted as an Assessor with the
Organisation and will now assist and assess other ADTB
course participants.

Myra is also a Member of The Professional Association Of
Applied Canine Trainers. This professional body recognises
not only the academic qualifications of its members but also
their many years of practical hands on experience. To gain membership references had to be obtained from clients who
had received beneficial training from Myra and also from a
Qualified Vet familiar with her expertise. Unlike some other
Associations continued membership is not merely based on
paying a yearly subscription fee but is reliant on Continued
Professional Development. Myra must prove annually that
she has updated her knowledge to a required standard by
attending seminars, workshops, course enrollment of further
canine education and notifying PAACT of any other appropriate related studies. Only then and if the required standard is
acheived will her membership be considered for renewal.
Clients can therefor rest assured that the training they receive
will be of the highest standard utilising up to date methods
adhering to the strict code of conduct of this Organisation.
